About the Grad Assessment Day

Join us for our jam-packed day of insightful workshops where we will introduce graduates and entry-level candidates to the world of food and drink challenger brands.

The day will include masterclasses from our YF Talent experts alongside the opportunity to meet with founders and leaders from a selection of our brands that are looking to hire great, new talent.

The day in detail

The Graduate Assessment Days will rotate between Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain / Operations, so you can apply for the one that best suits your requirements.

Throughout the day YF will provide you with an introduction into the fundamentals of Sales, Marketing or Operations in an FMCG start-up. You will have the opportunity to meet like-minded people and network with experienced professionals working for exciting challenger brands and, ultimately, land you a job in the process.

FAQs

Am I guaranteed a job through the Graduate Assessment Day?

You are not guaranteed a job through the Graduate Assessment Day however, there will be a number of our brands recruiting graduates directly so every candidate has the opportunity to land a role.

What we can guarantee is that you will complete the Graduate Assessment Day with an understanding of how challenger food and beverage businesses operate, and where your skill set is best suited.

I have some friends that would like to attend the Graduate Assessment Day. Will I get a referral fee if they are successful?

Yes. We run a referral scheme which will mean we pay you a £250 fee for every referral we place through the Graduate Assessment Day. The applicant will just need to write your name as the person who referred them in your application. There is no limit to the amount of people you can refer, and no cap on how much in referral fees we pay out to you.

Do I have to come to both days?

You will be required to attend the first full day of training and assessment and, if successful, the final stage interview.

Do I have to pay to go on the Graduate Assessment Day?

The Graduate Assessment Day will not cost you a penny. We will provide snacks, and refreshments too.

I am not looking to start a role immediately, is it still worth me applying?

If you are unable to attend the next Graduate Assessment Day then we would recommend registering your interest for future days.

At YF, we support our brands with recruitment all year round, so you can also get in touch with a member of the team when you are looking for a role, and we will help you find your dream job.

When will I find out if my application has been successful?

While we aim to contact you on the status of your application as soon as possible, due to the volume of applications, it may take us up to 30 days to respond. However, we may only contact you if successful. If you have not heard from us within 30 days then please assume your application was unsuccessful.

Who can apply to the Graduate Assessment Day?

The Graduate Assessment Day  is open to all – whether you went to university or not. However, brands often move quickly and will most likely be looking for candidates to start ASAP so we recommend you attend if you are actively looking for a role.
