MARKETING MANAGER (£45-55K), London

This challenger brand has an offering unique to its category, with a focus on high quality and ethics. Since launching they have been very successful in the restaurant channel and have now diversified to other channels, with a huge win at the start of this year that has hugely added to their high demand. They are now looking for someone to come in and support with their high level marketing strategy, ultimately supporting the Founder across the board and helping them to win those all important big new leads.

Role:

  • Support key retailer launches
  • Develop marketing plans for key retailers
  • Support Sales team to prepare for customer meetings/presentations and Buyer conversations
  • Work cross functionally with all departments to aid with the implementation of all trade and brand marketing activity.
  • Drive brand development – honing messaging and tone of voice across every channel.
  • Create impactful direction across all channels.
  • Build an innovative comms strategy to drive consumer engagement.
  • Lead on all consumer research to build strong consumer insight.
  • Develop measurable KPIs for all activity and consistently report on these.
  • Conduct competitor research and build a strong knowledge of the category
  • Mentor current Marketing employee.

Person:

  • 4-5 years of experience in marketing role
  • FMCG experience
  • A strategic, creative thinker, a strong writer, and a good eye for design
  • Fast learner and self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and act autonomously
  • Culturally curious – plugged in to the newest cultural trends, knows what’s coming next!
  • Experience managing agencies and the briefing, design and production of creative assets and POS
  • Commercially astute with an awareness of business needs
  • Strong negotiator. Able to justify strategic rationale to internal stakeholders and sell in retailer plans.
  • Confident, outgoing and excellent communicator
  • Analytically minded with creative flair
  • Strong project management, budget management, planning and organisation skills
  • Eye for detail (e.g. excellent proofreading and checking skills)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Calm under pressure; comfortable dealing with complexity and change
  • Flexible, collaborative approach; genuine team player
