Olly’s Olives, producers of olive snack pouches, had been successful in the UK market, with their products being sold in the major multiples as well as on Virgin Trains, EuroStar and EasyJet.

Having built a strong position in the UK, they now wanted to take on Europe but were unsure how to approach these new markets.

Our Export Consultant stepped in and began by meeting with Olly’s Olives to establish their brand DNA and identify their priority international markets.

Having decided to focus on France as the biggest strategic market, followed by Belgium and Holland, they worked with Olly’s Olives to figure out how to position their brand to the buyers of the retailers in those countries.

With a different competitive-set in each market, they needed to make sure they had a point of difference to stand out from their competitors. Our Consultant then collated this information and provided them with a brand presentation deck.

They then entered the next phase of the process by bringing their plans to life and finding them the best partners to enter each market with.


Olly’s Olives launched in Belgium within a matter of months of starting the search process, and France will go live in a few months with one of the market’s best sales and distribution organisations in the snacking category.

Our Export Consultant continues to support Olly’s Olives as they finalise distribution deals in the UAE and Australia, and the search continues for the Netherlands and Scandinavia..!
