Challenge
Soda Folk, an all-natural American craft soda brand, was in a stage of high-growth. However, with the founder based in the US, they needed an MD with experience in the UK FMCG industry to help steer the ship.
Finding someone the founder could trust was key. This came down to both technical capability and the right personality match.


Approach
After a consultative phone call, we sent over a portfolio of three strong CVs within a week of the brief. Having been impressed by their initial phone interviews, the founder flew over to the UK to meet the candidates.
It was a difficult decision between the three, but the founder had found the one in Simon. The whole process from first brief to acceptance of offer was complete within 4 weeks.
Results
Simon thrived in the role and lept straight into the position. Since joining Soda Folk, he has completed a significant fundraise, hired new team members and reset the business strategy.
