Challenge

The Urban Fermentery, producers of vegan and gluten-free Kimchis and Hot sauces, were recently launched when the Founder sought our advice on which channels to focus on and what kind of commercial structure to pursue.

Approach

Over the course of a 1-day workshop, our Commercial Consultant worked with and questioned the Founder intensely, going in-depth into her objectives, challenges and the way she was approaching the industry.

Together they developed a channel strategy and commercial structure that the Founder could follow going forward, but that wasn’t all.

Through discussions, they identified a problem with how the Founder was approaching the industry. They were trying to communicate and gain traction with people in the industry remotely, and as a result, weren’t building the personal relationships that are key as a growing challenger brand.

Having identified this weakness, our Consultant was able to advise on how to approach carrying out this new channel strategy and commercial structure.

Results

With our Consultant’s help, the Founder was able to achieve greater clarity in how she was operating and how she should be operating going forward. Armed with her output from the day’s workshop, the Founder had a clear channel strategy and commercial structure to follow.
